Hold, Daeva. Are you traveling to the Observatory?

• "Why? What would you ask of me?"

The Parched Barrens is a dangerous place, and too many travelers get injured despite our efforts to protect them. Word has it you possess the talent and skill to protect yourself.

We must guard the entrance to the Barrens--leaving our post is not possible. If we had more Guardians, perhaps we could escort people to the Observatory, but for now that's not an option.

Would you be willing to assist us? We need to kill Striped Basilisks over in the Barrens. That should reduce the risk significantly.

• Accept.
• Decline.

Oh! While you're out there, you'll see Thorn Leaf Dionaes as well. They seem innocuous at first, just like big plants, but appearances can be deceiving out here.

When you get there, let Diokuroi know I asked you to take care of it--this time. Your service is appreciated, Daeva. Soar in the light.

• "Sun's blessings, Guardian."

Get rid of Basilisks and Dionaes on the road to the Observatory.

Faith and arms, Daeva. What is your business here?

• "Themis asked me to clear..."

She said it's our job? Not that I know of. Still, it's not like we're lacking for things to do. Maybe someone forgot to mention it.

I'll report Themis's request to Centurion Gaix and we'll see where it goes from there.

In the meantime, welcome to the Observatory. Feel free to rest and restock, and sun's blessings on you.

Themis asked you to kill Dionaes and Basilisks in order to help travelers stay safe in the Parched Barrens.

You killed Basilisks and Dionaes int the Barrens and delivered Themis's message to Diokuroi, who guards the entrance of the Observatory Village. He promised to report it to Centurion Gaix and see what his orders are.
