Two questions decide where you farm in AION Classic 2.7: which monster drops the item you need, and what else that monster gives you. The item and NPC pages answer both. This guide reads them for
Blue Balaur Blood, which group quests at level 44 such as [Group] Materials for All Magic Wards ask for.
Which monsters drop an item
An item page lists every NPC that drops the item under Dropped by, with the NPC's level, the chance and the amount, highest chance first. The chance is the share of the NPC's drop group roll that gives this item, as the page states under each value.
| NPC | Level | Chance | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lazy Dragashum | 46 | 44.21% | 1 |
| Instructor Afrane | 47 | 35.96% | 1 |
| Greatscholar Jaadis | 47 | 26.42% | 1 |
Three monsters drop
Blue Balaur Blood, one per drop. Lazy Dragashum lists the highest chance, so hunt it first. Instructor Afrane and Greatscholar Jaadis follow at 35.96 and 26.42 percent.

What a monster drops
An NPC page lists its loot under Drops, grouped by drop group, with the same chance and amount columns. Its Map section names where the monster stands.
Lazy Dragashum is a level 46 monster of the Bakarma Legion in Draupnir Cave. Besides the blood it drops Balaur materials such as
Hard Balaur Horn,
Hard Balaur Scale and
Hard Balaur Skin at 30.38 percent, 1 to 3 at a time, and
Hot Balaur Heart at 20.25 percent.

Common questions

What does an amount of 1 to 3 mean? One drop gives between one and three of the item.
