To ascend is a divine blessing, Daeva. Cherish this time, but also accept the burden of responsibility that comes with it. Many Daevas have been lost serving Aion and Elysea.

Hmmm...I see no trepidation in your eyes...not even a flicker of fear.

I see many new Daevas and have grown accustomed to hesitation at this prospect.

There is something about you, something mature and yet fresh at the same time.

• "Pernos showed me a vision of my past."

This is difficult to comprehend. Karamatis is a hive of the Balaur, a beleaguered region of the Abyss.

What little I know of the Abyss would be enough to instill tremendous caution in anyone approaching that area.

I have heard nothing of a battle there, though.

• "I do not lie."

A Daeva who has lost power and memory, re-rendered into Human form--it's unheard of. I must consult Jucleas to discern the truth of it before we can discuss this further.

I said that grave danger lies ahead--this is the path of the Daeva. Whatever Pernos showed you, for now you must focus on the task at hand.

Verteron Citadel needs assistance, but before you, there was no one to send. Go quickly.

• Accept.
• Decline.

A wise decision. If we do not protect our land-bound brothers and sisters, our souls are forfeit.

Verteron Citadel is taking heavy losses against the Tursin Krall. We also hear a group resembling the Lepharist Revolutionaries is active in the area.

Speak to Polyidus in the Gate of Sanctum about teleportation to Verteron. He'll set you on your way.

When you arrive, present this recommendation letter to Centurion Hyacinte.

• "Faith and arms, Hygea."

Speak with Hygea and receive your mission as a newly ascended Daeva.

It's Daeva, isn't it?

I hear you need teleportation to Verteron Citadel. My orders are to send you to there as swiftly as possible.

Let me know when you're ready to leave.

• "Let's do it."

Urgh! What is it now?

Can't you see I have work to do? I suppose you think Verteron runs itself!

Not a leaf falls here without my permission. Now, if you don't mind, I'm expecting a very important visitor from Sanctum....

• “Hygea sends her greetings."

So you're what Hygea sends to help us. Hmm, typical. Well, welcome to Verteron Citadel.

I have a gift for you--a book of great wisdom, and secrets afforded only to the divine. Read it carefully. You can read, I take it?

If you haven't already, go and see Fortress Commander Spatalos. He'll brief you on your missions and the difficulties we face here.

May the light of Aion light your way and blind your foes.

When Hygea told you that you didn't look like a newly ascended Daeva, you revealed to her the past Pernos showed you. Hygea seemed uncertain what to believe.

She was sure that you have a duty as a Daeva, regardless of your past. You travelled to the Verteron Citadel carrying her recommendation letter and met Centurion Hyacinte.
