I’m just a mercenary, but my father is a scholar.

With his work in the Sanctum library, he regularly sends me books.

I guess I’m supposed to study hard and find my way in the world, but to be quite honest, I don’t read any of the books he sends me.

I find learning difficult, so what difference would it make if I read a book now?

• "You do now?"

Although I don’t read the books, I take good care of them.

I also lend the books to people who are interested in them from time to time.

Namus once wanted to borrow books about nymphs.

I don’t know why a woodcutter would be interested in such things. Anyway, I couldn’t lend him any books at the time because I didn’t have any on the subject.

• You keep listening.

Amongst the books my father gave me yesterday was one called The Nymph In Folklore.

I don’t know if it’s the right book, but I’m sure Namus will enjoy it.

I’m not allowed to leave my post. Could you take this book to Namus?

• Accept.
• Decline.

Great! Thanks, Daeva.

Namus is usually in Daminu Forest. Just keep to the path as you enter, and you can't miss him.

Please tell him that if the book isn't quite right, I'll ask my father for something else.

• "No problem."

Melampus wants you to take a book to Namus. Meet Namus at the entrance of Daminu Forest and give him The Nymph In Folklore.

Yes?

What is it? These trees won't chop themselves, mercenary.

• "I've brought you a book from Melampus."

The Nymph In Folklore, eh?

Why this... this is perfect!

Please, pass on my thanks to Melampus! I've been looking for a book like this for so long now!

Namus wanted to borrow a book about nymphs from Melampus.

Melampus found a book called "The Nymph In Folklore" and asked you to take it to Namus for him. Namus was grateful to receive it.
