Mmaa-aah...that's a decent looking weapon you carry. You mmmust be a formmmidable Daeva.

And you passed through the Dukaki Mmmmine. Your hooves are tough, for one who is not an Abex. Mmmaybe you have time to help me?

Mmmy need is great, friend.

• "What is the mmmatter...I mean matter?"

Look. That way. You see themmm?

Those ferocious Gryphus aren't normmmally here.... Talun sent them to watch over mmme.

You mmmust have heard of Talun...he is the King of Gryphus. Nothing mmmore than a huge overgrown bully if you ask mmme, maa-aah!

• "I see...."

He sent his flock to spy on mmme some time ago. Every time I try to get out of here, his stupid cronies swoop down and peck at mmme!

I'mmm getting weak...haven't been able to find any water for days. Mmmaybe you could help?

Forage for some Targena roots for mmme. I mmmay as well give up otherwise.

• Accept.
• Decline.

You are a remmmarkable creature! You would help a strange Abex? Remmmarkable!

You'll find Targena springing up all over this area. Please hurry--I won't make it much longer.

And be careful, mmmy friend--Talun's spies are sure to notice and come after you. They are enemmmies of the land as well as the skies.

• "Don't worry. I'll be back soon."

Gather Targena for Neith, an Abex who is being kept prisoner by Talun's minions and is extremely hungry.

Friend, you're back! Have you got the Targena roots? Mmmy stomach is hollow as a drummm.

Please...if you brought the roots, let mmme have them.

• "Here they are."

Maa-aah...there are not enough.

I don't know if I can hold on mmmuch longer, friend. Take pity on mmme...

Bring me all the Targena I need. I can't survive on nothing...

• "I'll be right back."

You have done as I asked, friend. All the Abex will hear of this. I can feel mmmy strength returning already, just frommm the scent of that Targena!

It's a rare gift, the ability to speak with hummmans, and it has saved mmmy life.

It is not mmmy gift that saved me, though. It is yours. You mmay have asked for nothing in return, but you mmmust accept this. You are a true friend.

Neith, a thoughtful Abex, could not go anywhere under the watchful eye of Talun's Gryphus, so he asked you to gather herbs for him.

You brought him some Targena to ease his hunger.
