I heard stories of Lepharist robbers attacking people. But I didn't think it'd happen to me.

We were doing fine all the way up to the Moslan Forest, but then I started getting this creepy feeling, like somebody was following us.

Then we got jumped by Lepharists. They took everything....

• "You should've been more careful."

Yeah, well, it's too late now. We've got no cargo, nothing.

I'm not gonna get paid, Leinolz is saying maybe we'll have to pay for the cargo we lost, and Gogaerunerk is worried he's gonna get kicked out of the Traders.

• "That's tough luck."

Stick around, this sob story only gets better. See, in that cargo was some Kandula I picked myself. To make medicine for my poor, ailing mother, right?

When bad luck gets you, it really gets you. Hey, but maybe you could help out a fellow Asmo down on his luck?

I'm not gonna get the rest of the cargo back, but do you think you could help me get some Kandula? For my mother?

• Accept.
• Decline.

I've seen Kandula all around Altgard. Gribade Canyon, Basfelt Hunting Ground, Mosbear Habitat, MuMu Village, wherever.

Just get some Kandula for me so my mother can get better.

• "I'm on it."

Viel said he had lost the Kandula he collected for his mother when their carriage was raided. Collect Kandula for him.

I just want to get back on the road soon, get back to my mom. Leinolz says we gotta think of a way to get the cargo back, though....

You got the Kandula, at least?

• "Take some."

You haven't got any Kandula? What's your problem? You said you'd help me out.

If you're not gonna do it for me, at least do it for my mom.

• "Fine, fine."

Well, even if I don't get anything else out of this, even if I gotta pay for the lost cargo out of my own pockets, at least I'll know my mom's gonna be okay.

Viel was hired as a porter, and was on his way to Traders Berth with Leinolz and Gogaerunerk. But they lost the cargo when they were raid by Lepharist Revolutionaries.

Viel lost all the Kandula he'd collected for his sick mother. You collected Kandula for him, and he thanked you very much.
