I hoped you would agree, Daeva. But you must participate directly and heavily in this process.

It shouldn't be that difficult for a Daeva like you--you've probably seen and done it all before.

Still, you'll need to obtain a few items and forge the spellbook yourself. Still sound good?

• Accept.
• Decline.

As I said, I will need a few items before we can begin. You'll need to get Vorpal Essence, Shulack Special Refiner, and a Blessed Aurium Ingot. A powerful Balaur sealed somewhere in the Beshmundir Temple has the Vorpal Essence.

As for the Special Shulack Refiner, I hear a Shulack captured by the Nightshade Clan has that. While you're there, see if you can buy the Blessed Aurium Ingot...it's a Shulack mineral. Quite expensive, too.

When you have gathered all the materials, bring them to the furnace in Debilkarim's Forge and forge them well. You will end up with the Essence of Siel crystal. Bring that to me and I will do the rest.

• "I will return soon, Reian."

It is possible to enhance Noble Siel's Supreme Spellbook. Gather special materials and refine them at Jotun Studio.

Your Noble Siel's Supreme Spellbook has aged much since last we spoke, Daeva. When a Spellbook ages, her vitality and potency are diminished greatly.

Perhaps I can interest you in upgrading to Siel's Dominant Spellbook? I must warn you, though, she's no ordinary book of incantations, though.

I propose this not for Kinah or gold but for unity against our common enemy, the Balaur.

• "It sounds like a good idea."

You are already upgrading your weapon, Daeva. I cannot work on two weapons at once!

It gets too confusing for me. A staff requires this much of this, and a sword needs that much of that...just one at a time, please.

• "I was confused, sorry."

I am impressed, Daeva. I wasn't expecting you back this soon.

The Jotun Studio can be a dangerous place if you don't know where you're going.

Let us see what kind of essence you managed to create.

• "Here's the Essence of Siel."

I know you want to upgrade your spellbook, Daeva, but I explained the process you must follow. The wheel stays round for a reason, after all. It cannot be expanded upon.

You must obtain the Vorpal Essence, Special Shulack Refiner, and Blessed Aurium Ingot before going to the Jotun Studio to make the essence.

• "Yes, the wheel stays round."

This Essence of Siel is very good, Daeva. There are no cracks whatsoever in this crystal. I am impressed.

(He places the Essence of Siel into an iron bowl and prepares it.)

There, it is done. You now have Siel's Dominant Spellbook. A thousand years of my ancestors' knowledge now rests in your hands.

Gefeios said it is possible to improve your Noble Siel's Supreme Spellbook.

So you obtained Vorpal Essence, Special Shulack Refiner, and Blessed Aurium Ingot, and you brought them to the Jotun Studio to make a crystal called the Essence of Siel.

When you brought the Essence of Siel to Gefeios, he made you Siel's Dominant Spellbook.
