Once comrades, now mortal enemies....

Of course, I speak of the Dragonbound. In some ways, they are worse than even the Balaur.

• "Worse? How?"

The Balaur kill. It is unpleasant, but it is direct, and swift.

The Dragonbound have a fanatic's sadism. They kidnap, torture, and only eventually kill.

Worse, their predations sometimes twist their victim's mind, turn them into a fellow Dragonbound fanatic. Thus the cycle widens.

• "Horrifying indeed."

But we need more power to move against them. Did you know that before the Cataclysm, the Jotun followed the will of Aion?

I believe their might could be brought to bear against Aion's enemies once more. But to do that, you need to infiltrate the Udas Temple. Can you do this?

• Accept.
• Decline.

Kill the Deserter's Legatus and get his Balaur Flame. Also kill Jotun Creator and Jotun Artisan and obtain a Worthy Hammer.

A Reian who knows the power of Aether and the power of Drana needs this item. It’ll give the Reians great power.

Of course, you will be rewarded for such a dangerous mission. I will give you a great reward for it. An armour jacket coveted by every Asmodian.

Could you also bring me 200,000 Kinah?

As you can see, we don’t have decent armour. It’s essential that we obtain armour so that we can defeat Subterranea.

• "The task is mine!"

Ortiz told you of his plan to strengthen the Reians and asked you to carry out his order. Follow the instructions.

I’ve been waiting for you.

Have you brought the Balaur Flame, the Worthy Hammer and 200,000 Kinah?

• "Flames, Hammers, and 200,000 Kinah."

This 200,000 Kinah will immediately go towards creating your chest armour.

Unfortunately, we may even more Balaur Flames and Worthy Hammers to create it, so in the meantime, you will be without.

Is this acceptable to you?

• "Yes, it is acceptable."
• "I need to reconsider."

You mustn’t have understood me.

I did say that I needed both the Balaur Flame and a Worthy Hammer!

I also need 200,000 Kinah for armour.

Go and prepare everything. Otherwise, there’ll be no reward for you.

• "It will be done soon."

You have kept your word. Thank you.

I will consult with my smiths to ascertain that we have enough tools to complete the equipment we need. If so, your armour will be made at once. Otherwise, we'll need you to gather more.

Still, do not be disappointed if we have not yet met our goal. With your help, I am confident that we will...if we have not already!

Ortiz told you of the threat the Dragonbound pose to both Reians and Asmodians, and asked for your help.

He required Balaur Flames and Worthy Hammers in order to create strong weapons and armour to outfit those who would strike against the Dragonbound.

You obtained these items and gave them to Ortiz, who promised a strong piece of chest armour once he had enough Flames and Hammers.
