Every top ranking Balaur receives a weapon from its Dragon Lord.

These weapons aren't just symbols. They fairly crackle with energy and give the Brigade General greater power and authority.

This hilt's from one of Tiamat's. Where did you find it?

• "First, I ran down this Drakan..."

Hah! I need more Daevas like you, Daeva. Would you be interested in joining my team?

As for the weapon, no loyal Drakan would lose it. Why was this sword was broken into pieces? And how did an ordinary Balaur get this?

Will you hunt down these answers?

• Accept.
• Decline.

If it came from the Esoterrace, Warden Surama must have owned this sword.

Start with the creatures closest to him. Or try to find his Balaur memory sphere. They'd probably call it something silly like a "Storage Sphere of Surama".

Shame we can't ask him.

• "Why can't they just use paper?"

Go to the Esoterrace to learn the background behind Tiamat's Sword.

(Balaur script runs across the revolving strands of Surama's memory.)

(You'd better take it to someone who understands Balaur.)

• "Relyt'll get a kick out of this."

Well?

• "How's your Balaur?"

Hmm. Rumour has it Tiamat's leadership skills don't mean much. Must be true.

Surama calls the sword "Tiamat's Power" and believes it's a monitoring device. Tiamat's right not to trust his underlings. Just look with Surama did with his gift!

Take this sphere to Luigir. She might recognise the fuzzy words or names at the end there.

• You and Tiamat both lack faith...

Too long we've made too little progress.

• "Relyt sent you the Storage Sphere of Surama."

What? We have Surama's memories?

There's sabotage intelligence in this.

Leave me...but stay nearby.

Relyt said the sword hilt you found belonged to a Balaur overseer's weapon, gifted by Dragon Lord Tiamat. He wondered why and how the sword had been sundered, and sent you to the Esoterrace to uncover a clue.

At the Esoterrace, you discovered the Storage Sphere of Surama, which you brought back.

Relyt suggested going to Luigir, the expert on all thing Balaur and bizarre. She was thrilled by the sabotage potential of Surama's memory and told you to wait while she did...something...with it.
