Arieluma, Daeva. I must pose a question. Not rhetorical, mind you, but an honest-to-Ariel question. You've seen your share of battles, so you will understand.

See this armour I am wearing? And see that sack of grain over there? Which do you think would better hold up to a sword's blade?

Well, the answer is not what sheathes my body. With the lack of supplies in this wasteland, even one of Senir's dried fish could puncture my armour.

Since we have no steel or chain or even leather around here, I'm forced to make repairs with cloth. Can you believe that?

• "Then watch out for swords!"

Ha ha ha. Precisely, Daeva. That brings me to my point. I overheard a returning patrol say that Nacre Scales are as strong as a rock and as slick as an eel's belly.

Have you heard that, too? Anyway, I want to try and repair my armour using some of those scales. It should work. But with the current state of these dilapidated threads I have on, I fear even sneezing too loud.

May I shamelessly ask you to find me some Pearly Crynac Scales for my armour? I will pay you for your trouble.

• Accept.
• Decline.

Faith and arms, my friend! Thank you.

Five scales of the Rustscale Crynac should do the trick. Try and find the most attractives ones, won't you?

• "I'll return shortly."

Go to the Puitonen Bogs to find the Pearly Crynac Scales for Ekseus's armour.

Daeva, you've returned! And not a moment too soon. I'm being sent out on patrol, and I was afraid I was going to have to tie wood across my chest for protection.

Let me see the Pearly Crynac Scales so I can get started on my repairs right away.

• "Here are your scales."

Daeva, you must hurry! They're sending me out on patrol soon, and I fear for my life. This armour won't hold up!

Please, get over to the Puitonen Bogs and find me those Pearly Crynac Scales.

If I don't hear from you soon, I'm going to have to piece together my armour with tree branches and gulley grass.

• "I'll be back before your patrol."

These truly are harder than rocks! This is like steel! I may look a little odd with these on, but I'll be indestructible!

You may have saved my life, Daeva! I am in your debt.

You obtained the Pearly Crynac Scales for Ekseus, who was concerned that his armour would fail in battle.

When Ekseus received the materials, he thanked you and gave you a reward.
