I’m very concerned, Daeva. Beluslan isn’t the only place the Balaur have invaded. I’ve heard that they’ve also infiltrated Elysea, in Heiron specifically.

It seems they’ve opened an Abyss Gate that links their Indratu Fortress with Elysea. Our observatory is already destroyed...

If the Balaur manage to open the gate there, they could open it here too. Our people will be in grave danger.

• "What must be done?"

We must send someone to Indratu Fortress to investigate.

The journey will be difficult, however. The Abyss Gate leading to Heiron was made by the Balaur. If a Daeva uses it, it will cause intolerable levels of pain.

There is a way around it, thankfully. The Balaur use magic to offset the pain.

If you kill an Indratu Worldbreaker and obtain a Bead of Magical Power along with a Fighter’s Skin from an Indratu Superior Bodyguard, I can extract the energy from the items and imbue it into your armour instead.

• Accept.
• Decline.

Go to the Nute Warrens in Elysea to collect the Bead of Magical Power and Fighter’s Skins.

You can reach the Nute Warrens in Heiron via the rift in the Bakarma Barracks.

Kill the Indratu Worldbreaker and take the Bead of Magical Power. You can get the Fighter’s Skins by slaying the Indratu Superior Bodyguards.

I wish I could claim this would be easy, but it won’t be. Choose your companions with care, and come back safely.

• "For Asmodae."

In order to go to the Indratu Fortress that the Balaur built in the Abyss, Balaur energy has to be instilled into your armour. Go to the Nute Warrens in Elysea through the rift in the Bakarma Barracks and to get a Bead of Magical Power and a Fighter’s Skin.

I'm afraid to ask how your journey went, Daeva. So much rests on our actions here. I lost the battle to save the Observatory...I don't like to think what might happen if we lose this one too. We must wipe out the Balaur.

Were you able to get the Bead of Magical Power and the Fighter’s Skin so I can complete the ritual?

• "Here they are."

Why are you here? Haven't you gone to Elysea yet?

Remember, you need to use the rift that appears in the Bakarma Barracks in order to get to Heiron. Go and get the Bead of Magical Power and the Fighter’s Skin and bring them back to me.

• "The task is mine."

You made it! Not that I doubted you would, but still...it's the first glimmer of hope I've felt in some time.

Wait a moment...I'll extract the energy and embed it into your armour so you can survive the Abyssal Gate.

Aaaaand.....it's done. The gate is in the Nute Warrens in Elysea. Go find it, and Aion watch over you in your quest.

Gwendolin was worried that the Balaur would open the Abyss Gate in Asmodae like the one they opened in Elysea.

She sent you to investigate the Indratu Fortress and find a way to stop them.

In order to accomplish this, you needed to instil Balaur energy into your armour so that you could survive using a Balaur Abyss Gate.

You went to Elysea through the rift, got a Bead of Magical Power and Fighter’s Skin and brought them to Gwendolin. She imbued your armour with Balaur energy and sent you on to infiltrate the Indratu Fortress.
