(The scroll is marked with Lord Kaisinel's seal and printed in gilded letters.)

"Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your role in keeping Inggison out of Asmodian claws."

"I have instructed Laestrygos to distribute weapons to those who helped us,"

"so that you may become a blade of illusion and terror to put an end to our enemies."

"Kaisinel's Agent, Veille"

• "A weapon, hmm?"

Take Veille's letter to Laestrygos for your reward.

Those who believe only what they see with their own eyes are as limited as the Humans who are doomed to crawl upon the earth throughout their brief existence.

The terror and confusion they feel when they find out that there's more in this world that what they can see--we can use that to our advantage.

• "I try to play my part."

Ah, Agent Veille's letter. Yes, as instructed, I will give you a weapon.

But know this: the weapon is only as powerful as the use to which you put it, Daeva. The blade that hangs upon the wall will rust and dull with time.

For your role in helping Agent Veille to defend Inggison, she sent you a letter that you could take to Laestrygos and exchange for a weapon.
