Look for the Balaur Kumanka and ask him for help to save Lindiana.

Hm… there don’t seem to be any other survivors.

Why do we bother training them if they can’t even cope with our pets?

Oh well, it’s not like I care. My superiors are the ones who will make the decision.

Daeva, congratulations. So I was right as far as you’re concerned.

You’ve just proven once again that you deserve to enter paradise.

• ‘Help me! Lindiana is injured!’

Injured? If she’s injured, she’ll just lag behind.

In this test, stragglers get left behind.

Instead, be happy that you’re the only chosen one.

So, let’s come to the final step; prove your boundless faith with an oath.

For your close friends. For your teachers whom you respect. And for the honourable Balaur.

Promise them your heart and soul. Swear it, here and now.

• ‘My close friend… is injured.’

Bah, useless creature.

You’re so worried about that straggler that you can’t take the oath…

Ah… that’s done it! Everyone has failed this time.

If that straggler is so important to you, you can become one yourself.

(He snaps his fingers and seems to be summoning something over.)

Kumanka’s Creation! Clean this place up!

• ‘What the…!’

Can you manage it this time?

Close your eyes and breathe slowly… slowly.

And count in your head.

One, two, three.

• You slowly lose consciousness and feel like you’re floating.

Can you manage it this time?

Close your eyes and breathe slowly… slowly.

And count in your head.

One, two, three.

• You slowly lose consciousness and feel like you’re floating.

You’re a student at the Manor of Illumination, right?

Are you unharmed?

Let me take a look at you.

• ‘I’m fine, but my friend is hurt. Quick, we’ve got to go and help he…!’

Wait, wait. Calm down.

I’ve already looked around here for anyone who needs rescuing, but there wasn’t anyone.

You’re the only Daeva I’ve encountered here.

You let the Injured Lindiana rest briefly, while you went to find Kumanka and asked for help.

Kumanka said that the injured would soon become stragglers, and wanted you to leave them behind. As a final step, he demanded that you swear an oath to your comrades, teachers and the Balaur.

Kumanka was angry because you complained and couldn’t take the oath. He said he would make a straggler out of you too, and summoned another monster.

The monster Kumanka called was so strong that you had a real fight on your hands.

As this dangerous situation unfolded, a Daeva suddenly appeared, killing the monster and saving your life.

You told the Daeva that you had to save your friends and told her about Lindiana. She then said that you were the only one she had come across.
