Shugo letters always stored safe in special pouches. This letter is Gestanerk's writing, but look, look at all the damage!

And Daeva says that Gestanerk's sack was still in his hands, but letter and clothes were torn? Missing information is in missing parts of letter!

Please, Daeva, find the rest of the torn letter, you are our only hope, nyerk.

• Accept.
• Decline.

The place where you found...the letter is best place to start, yes? Other pieces, other clues may be nearby!

Yadamonerk must know who controls the Kerubar, and also who killed Gestanerk.

Kill many filthy Kerubar Loot Grabbers and Kerubian Sentinels until you find an answer, yes?

• "That seems a bit extreme."

Torn letter, torn clothes. Gestanerk is dead, Kerubar everywhere....

Kerubar have to be the answer, yes? Daeva is wise and powerful.... Daeva will discover....

Daeva!

• "I have news for you...."

Find the rest of the torn letter and give it to Yadamonerk, so that he can find out why Gestanerk died.

Daeva, Yadamonerk does not understand something. If Gestanerk has died, who steers the Kerubar?

Kerubar would not have killed Gestanerk--or would they?

Something very bad happened. Yadamonerk's whiskers are shaking. The Meniherk Excavation Union is in trouble, nyerk.

• "Why do you think that?"

You again? What is it this time, more threats?

I don't know anything I didn't know last time I talked to you.

I haven't talked to Gestanerk for a long time!

• "I have a letter that says otherwise."

What letter? I told you, we went our separate ways a long time ago. But...tell me, is Gestanerk dead?

I knew Gestanerk's plan was too extreme, even for him. I wanted no part of it. That's why we split up--I'm telling you the truth!

You're not looking for me. You want his other partner. You want Hamerun the Leech, an Asmodian Daeva.

• "What? That's treason!"

No. I'd never betray our people like that. Once I saw the lunatic eyes of the Asmodian, I ran as fast as I could. It's just...I don't have anywhere else to go....

But I didn't think he'd kill Gestanerk...he must have taken away Gestanerk's power to control Kerubar. He has that power.

Listen, you have to help me. These Shugos aren't like the others--they're hard, cruel. You have to speak for me. They respect you--you're a Daeva! if you stand up for me, I'll be safe!

• "I'll do what I can."

Have you returned from talking to your killer?

Yadamonerk should never trust laborer who works so cheap, no matter how desperate. Look, look what happened to poor Gestanerk, nyerk.

Where is she? Hecuba has...appointment with Shugos that we will not...ahem...miss.

• "Things are not as they seem...."

A...Asmodian Daeva? Here? These new lies make less sense than the others.

Hecuba the killer cannot escape her crimes with crazy stories! Balloon goes up, stakes are sharpened and oiled...Shugo vengeance will not be denied!

Asmodians...hah!

Yadamonerk said that the only lead to Gestanerk's murder is the rest of the torn letter. He asked you to search Kerubar in the area where you found his body.

When you found the rest of the letter and checked the contents, you learned the letter was meant for Hecuba.

When you went to her, Hecuba broke down and told you that an Asmodian Daeva must have deprived Gestanerk of his power and killed him. Yadamonerk was skeptical of this story.
