Not long ago, I found this in the basin at Laquepin's Mystic Spring.

I just thought it was just a beautiful crystal, but...well, look, does it seem unusual?

It has an energy, a dissonant hum.

• "Is it Aether?"

I can't identify the energy. My talent is restoring life to the sick or dying, not mineralogy.

Deurone is the expert in that. She can tell the history of a mountain from its smallest stone! Better to show it to Deurone than waste time puzzling it out myself.

Would you show it to her? My duties keep me here.

• Accept.
• Decline.

Oh, thank you!

Deurone works at the Kuriullu Outpost.

Tell her I found it in the Mystic Spring of Laquepin.

• "Laquepin. Got it."

Ophelos found a crystal in the Mystic Spring of Laquepin which you must take to Deurone for investigation.

I've never had such an exciting post!

My talents are needed, there's surveying to do...Hygea's even sending me encouraging letters!

Oh, sorry. What business brings you here?

• "More mysteries."

He found it in the Spring? Mysterious energy, eh? Let's see it.... By Ariel! It's toxic! A hidden, poisonous aura!

And this came from the Mystic Spring? No wonder the Spring's drying up!

I must keep this as evidence, but here's a reward. I must say goodbye now. Scholars at the Temple of Life should see Ophelos' little "treasure."

Ophelos found a beautiful crystal on the bed of a depleted Mystic Spring.

The crystal emits a disconcerting energy, and he wanted to know what it meant.

When you showed it to Deurone, she said it oozed foul magic! She reported it to the Temple of Life right away.
