Daeva, I'm surprised to see you! It's been so long!

I hear you've been working hard though, and your equipment seems to indicate you've reaped the rewards of your endeavors.

I'm glad you're here actually. I've learned something about your past...something you should know.

• "What would that be?"

I remember you said that you were the Brigade General of the secret Mirage Legion. You said you lost your memory while fighting Oris at Karamatis... something about a trap set by Icaronix - one of your own men?

The tale seemed strange, yet familiar, so I did some digging. I found out what the Mirage Legion... what you... were doing there.

It wasn't easy though. Some of your men went into hiding and were nigh on impossible to track down.

• "Please, tell me what you know!"

Lavirintos says he has something to tell you about your memories. Go to the Protectors Hall in Sanctum and meet him.

Your mission in Karamatis was to find the Artefact of Memory to uncover details about an ancient event.

Your Legionaries went first but they ran into trouble. As you know, the mission failed and you ended up...well, I don't need to tell you.

• "No."

Listen, this is important. If you can find the Artefact of Memory, you'll have a chance to restore your memories. You may also learn the secrets you originally sought.

I have no clue where Karamatis is or how to get there. Try speaking to Ludina, the owner of the Dionysia Tavern.

That should get you the route to Karamatis. If she's reluctant to help, mention Pernos. Those two have history.

• "Ha! Pernos always gets a good reaction."

Greetings, Daeva. What brings you here today?

How about Porgus roast? Always good for what ails you.

• "I've come to ask about Karamatis."

Karam...what? I'm...um...not familiar with that name. Is it a new dish? I consider myself quite the epicure, but I can't stay on top of everything.

Let me get a scrap of parchment. I'll write it down so I have it for you on your next visit.

• "Sure. Pernos says 'Hi', by the way."

Oh.... Fine, but this squares the blasted debt between us! Tell the cranky old man for me.

Do you know the Divine Fortress in Reshanta? I was told that the rift underneath it opens at a specific time. You could probably get to Karamatis through there.

If you're going, and I assume you are, I'll pray to the Seraphim Lords for your safe journey...and I hope Pernos's piles bother him something fierce!

• "I'll let him know."

Haha...and so the circle is finally complete. I assume you come seeking the Artefact of Memory...and the route to Karamatis.

I should warn you, recovering your memories will not make everything right in the world. It may even make things more difficult.

Knowing this, tell me...do you wish to proceed?

• "Absolutely."

So be it. Karamatis has a portal that opens very irregularly.

The rift, the gateway to Karamatis, will be open soon. This is your path to your future...and your past.

Recovering your memory will be arduous, to say the least. Prepare yourself well, Daeva.

Lavirintos told you that your last mission before you lost your memory was finding the Artefact of Memory in Karamatis.

You went to see Pernos, in Poeta, who told you to speak to Ludina, who could explain the way to Karamatis. He also warned you that recovering your memory may have dark consequences.

You told Pernos you were going to complete this mission--you were committed.
