Of course I wonder. A talking skull with the same name? Who could invent such a thing?

I'd go myself, but we're so shorthanded, neither I nor any of my troops can be spared to investigate.

Daeva, would you please find Groznak's Skull and see what it wants? Let's put this corpse to rest.

• Accept.
• Decline.

Thanks, Daeva. Blood for blood!

Groznak's Skull is at Baltasar Cemetery. If it's as chatty as reported, you should have no problem finding it.

• "Blood for blood indeed."

Daeva! Azphelumbra, Daeva! I beg you, help me!

You are surprised, but I am in earnest. I am trapped and desperate.

I died...so long ago. Yet I cannot pass on into the flow of Aether and I long for release. Will you help me?

• "What is it you want?"

My name is--was--Groznak. I met my destiny bravely, if I may flatter myself. My death came suddenly, however, and there was no one left to care for me.

I had no burial. My body is missing a few essential parts and without it I am trapped here, disgraced and forgotten. I fear that the evil of this place will eventually corrupt my mind.

I can't expect that you would find my own limbs, Daeva. But even a mismatched body would be a release I can only imagine. Look to the southeast throughout the cemetery and see what you can find. A few bones from the Weathered Skeleton, the Intact Skeleton, and the Muddy Skeleton might suit me. My gratitude will be eternal.

• "I will try."

Investigate the reports of a talking skull named Groznak in the Baltasar Cemetery.

One of my men just returned from Baltasar Cemetery with a report of a strange skull that's talking to anyone living who passes by.

It claims its name is Groznak and asks for help.

I knew a Human named Groznak once, before I ascended. What are the odds this could be the same person? And yet...

• "You're wondering, aren't you?"

Daeva, did you find the bones? I am so weary of waiting. The wind whistles through this old skull and drives me mad.

• "The bones are here."

Yes! Shades and stars, yes. Thank you, Daeva! With this body, I could live forever!

Everything is finally in place. Well, almost everything.

Stay still, Daeva. There is just one more item I need--your soul!

• "Azphel's Shade!"

Daeva, you've returned. Have you investigated the talking skull? If not, then...

Ah, never mind. I see grave dirt upon your shoes. You've been to Baltasar Cemetery.

I'm relieved to see you safe. I feared your task might have been more dangerous than we realised.

• "Groznak tried to kill me."

Azphel's shadow, it's true! The Groznak I knew was an creepy old shaman who lived in the area. He disappeared decades ago.

It seemed he was attempting to become undead in order to live forever, possibly even trying to become a Lich. Your death would have given him the last ingredient to complete his transformation.

Your strength does you credit. I'll see that you're repaid for the peril.

Surt asked you to investigate a report of a talking skull at Baltasar Cemetery.

When you found it, it introduced itself as Groznak and begged you to assemble a body for it so that it could return to the flow of Aether.

You found chest, leg, and arm bones and brought them to the skull, assembling a body for it. It then went mad and summoned an undead to attack you.

When you returned to Surt, he explained that Groznak was a shaman who was trying to become a Lich. He expressed relief that you defeated the evil undead and offered to pay you for the inconvenience.
