The girl! She's in danger! The murderer is someone inside the fortress! But...I don't know who.

I must have been on my way to warn her.... I was taking an airship...I remember now. But it crashed.

Oh... Oh! Everybody died. Including me.

• "So why didn't you return to the flow of Aether?"

I must have unfinished business here...maybe I have to warn the girl! Oh, but maybe it's too late for her....

Wait, there was a book....

• "But I gave you your notebook."

Not my notebook. Another book...Oh, this is embarrassing....

I remember about the girl and the murderer now. They're from a novel I was reading when I died. It was a great read! But I never got to the ending before...you know.

Maybe if I find out how it ends, I'll get to pass into the flow of Aether. Would you help me find it?

• Accept.
• Decline.

I was reading it when the airship crashed.... Everything went black, and when I came to, I saw a giant Ksellid eating the bodies.

He must have eaten the book when he ate me! You'll have to kill him to get it back. The book's called "Bone Speaks."

• "We'll see...if it hasn't been digested yet."

Get Hermod the novel "Bone Speaks" so that he can return to the flow of Aether.

Who was the murderer? I thought it was Farfnig, but then he was murdered too....

Do you have the book? Who was it?

• "This should give you the answers...."

Oh, that's not the book I was looking for.

I suppose I can wait as long as it takes. But I have to know who the murderer is!

• "All right, one more time...."

Yes! That's the book! Thank you!

Oh, so Bastron did it. That's a little cliche, don't you think?

Frankly, I'm disappointed. But at least I can pass on to my eternal rest.

Hermod believed that he could not return to the flow of Aether because never finished the novel he was reading.

You defeated the Mutant Ksellid that ate his corpse and returned the book to him.
