When I was a kid, my parents would always tell me that those were the best days of my life. It seemed stupid, then. No wings, no control over my own life, and worst of all those sailor suits they used to put me in.

Now that I'm a little older, I can see what they meant. I even sort of miss the sailor costumes...

This summer, I had a plan. I was going to take advantage of the nice... well, nicER... weather, while I had the chance.

• "I'm guessing there's a wrench in the works?"

Yes. See, I have this sailboat. A bit of a fixer-upper, but that was the best I could get. I was even excited about repairing it. Until the materials went missing.

I had some Yellow Boards being shipped across the Salintus Desert yesterday, and now they've gone missing.

So... in the spirit of another great childhood tradition, I dare you to go to the Salintus Desert and get them back!

• Accept.
• Decline.

Oh, that's a relief. It was the Gourd Ksellids, Desert Snufflers, and Laggard Ksellids that ate the Yellow Boards.

So when you're in Salintus Desert, you may need to kill these creatures and root around through their insides to find the boards.

• "Now there's a relaxing, summery thought."

Go to the Salintus Desert and retrieve Yellow Boards for Olatis.

Azphelumbra, Daeva! Did you find the Yellow Board?

My poor Ampreh Blossom... heh, that's what I called her. I want to get her ship-shape as soon as I can!

• "Here are the Yellow Boards."

I thought you'd be gone for quite some time, Daeva?

Have you even left yet? The Yellow Boards are probably scattered all over Salintus Desert by now. Oh, I'll never get the ship fixed.

• "It's hardly my top priority."

Oh, yes, this should get us started!

Now, for a reward... ah! Here you go. We aren't going sailing until she's fixed, but that's no reason for you not to have at least part of the sailor experience, right?

Olatis had planned some childlike festivities to recapture his youth, but the boards for repairing the sailboat were stolen by monsters.

You recovered the boards, but it seems unlikely that the boat will be ready in time.
