Yes, indeed! For the tiniest of tokens, I can guide your fate to greater things--

Oh, you're not buying this, are you?

• "Not even slightly."

Well, I should have known what would work on the riff-raff wouldn't work on you. Oh, I know who you are, and you're a cut above.

The thing is, I used to do this thing straight-up, just talk to people like I'm talking to you now, but they always seemed to think that real power came cloaked in all this, you know, extra stuff. Mysticism and whatnot.

But it's really quite simple. I just need a token, a tiny little thing really, and I can help you. You up for it?

• Accept.
• Decline.

Great! It's simple really: pass the seventh stage of the Empyrean Crucible, collect the mark you find there, and bring it to me.

I have a certain amount of... shall we say 'influence'?... with certain powerful parties who can guide your fate in favourable directions, and I need a token of one of your successes.

• "Let me see if I don't already have one."

Take a Crucible Mark to Kjander.

Good job, Daeva! I heard you'd been up to some great things since we spoke.

I take it you have my mark?

• "Now where did I put it...?"

I know I said it was a small trinket, but it has to actually be the thing I described. You can do that, can't you? Just up to the seventh stage of the Empyrean Crucible. You don't even have to complete the whole thing.

I'll be here... for a short while longer.

• "See you around, then."

Look at the shine on that! I never thought it would really be so polished! Oh, this'll go for..

Are you still here? Yes, yes, I'll do the charm. But I have to be alone to do it. You hear that? ALONE.

A suspicious young man said he could influence your fortune for the better if you brought him a Crucible Mark from the Empyrean Crucible.

Something tells you he's not quite on the up-and-up, though.
