Friend of the Spirit, you have helped dispel the air of death from this land. But death's shadow still haunts this place.

The cursed ones yet wander the land outside the village.

• "Yes, I saw them."

The Severed Gnarls infect the Energy of Earth with their sorrow. Their pain spoils all that is good here.

All too soon, even before the morrow, their infection will spread to other lands.

Friend of the Spirit, would you help us to do what we cannot?

• Accept.
• Decline.

I beg of you, purge this land of Severed Gnarls.

They dwell underground and cannot be seen by the untrained eye. Be prudent in your search. Remain vigilant.

• "The Gnarls will bother you no more."

Dispose of the Severed Gnarls, who absorb and contaminate the Energy of Earth.

Friend of the Spirit, you have returned?

I sense a strong and pure energy around you. You have made pure what was once wicked?

• "Your land is pure again."

I meditated on your success in this matter. The Aether told me of your conquest.

You have a power I have never before seen in a Daeva.

Please, take this. It is a reward worthy of a great Daeva. I wish you well, Friend of the Spirit.

Terra Spirit Karanus asked you to get rid of the resilient Severed Gnarls.

When you returned after killing the Gnarls, he thanked you and gave you a reward.
