Hmmm...well...the armour is shabbier than I would have expected...the eyes don't harbour much courage...and the nose is a little off...but....

• "Your face is a little off."

There's no mistaking that scathing tone! I knew it was you, Daeva!

Lord Marchutan himself prophesized your arrival, and it seems now is the time for you to accept your destiny!

I'm sure that you have questions, but this isn't the time for answers. You need to know that Lord Marchutan has entrusted me with a piece of leg armour that is meant to be yours, but to receive it, you must first pass a test.

• "What's the test?"

The Empyrean Lord wants to test your bravery, Daeva.

I can't tell you the exact nature of the test unless you accept it.

While great courage allows us to face powerful foes, it takes more to leap into the unknown. Are you prepared to accept your destiny?

• Accept.
• Decline.

Please listen to me carefully then.

You should take this route to Mitrakand, defeat the Balaur and bring back a Hardened Drake Scale.

You have to do that several times, of course.

You’ll have to do it again and again until you are reborn as a Daeva who is hardened to the bone. The Lord will ensure that you see the light of the world again as a great Daeva.

You’re not afraid, are you?

Get going right away then.

Wait! I almost forgot. Please also bring 150,000 Kinah with the scale.

I will use it to pay a tribute to Elysea in the Convent of Marchutan, so don’t grieve over the money. The armour you’ll receive from the Lord is much more valuable.

• "The task is mine."

Batalrion has prepared a difficult mission for the Lord. Follow the instructions.

I’ve been waiting for you.

Did you go to Mitrakand? Have you brought 150,000 Kinah?

Where’s the Hardened Drake Scale?

• "Here--the scales and the Kinah."

150,000 Kinah is no paltry amount, Daeva.

Are you sure that you're willing to make this donation?

• "I'm sure, here's the Kinah."
• "I'll think it over."

You lack conviction, Daeva.

An Empyrean Lord may have taken a personal interest in your destiny, but you're a disappointment to my eyes. You'd never make it as a Dramata Chaser.

If you want to prove me wrong, do as I have asked. Go to the Mitrakand and slaughter the Balaur, and return with their Hardened Drake Scales, and 150,000 Kinah.

• "I'll be back."

You've brought back the scales. Very impressive. But is it impressive enough for Lord Marchutan?

I'll consult with him to see if he believes in your strength. If he is satisfied, I'll give you the leg armour immediately. Otherwise, you have more work to do....

Batalrion said Empyrean Lord Marchutan has ordered him to give you a difficult mission and reward you with a special set of leg armour if successful.

You defeated the Balaur and returned with the proof as he instructed. He was impressed, but would only give you the leg armour on Lord Marchutan's word.
