The Empyrean Lords have blessed me today.

I was hoping for someone to show up to help me, and here you are, Daeva.

• "Yep, here I am."

Last time we spoke, you'd gone to exterminate poisonous creatures in Silentera Canyon. Do you remember how you said they were easy to kill?

I found that odd and asked around, only to learn that most Daevas were being poisoned in Beshmundir Temple and not Silentera Canyon. By a gigantic Slime!

• "Has your antidote been helping?"

Sadly, no. But now that I have experience with poisons made by the Dragonbound, I'm ready to analyse the secretions of our gluttonous Slime.

Will you lend me your power once more, Daeva?

And, this time, no killing my specimen!

• Accept.
• Decline.

All right. The Slime in question is known as The Plaguebearer, and they say it's big enough to fill a chamber in the Vault of the Conquerors underneath Beshmundir Temple.

Also, I suspect it absorbs Balaur bones. Isn't that exciting?

Why are you still here? Go bring me the Plaguebearer's Core so I can create an entirely new poison for our side and a better antidote for the afflicted.

• "Did you just say it eats Balaur?"

Defeat the Plaguebearer and bring back its core for Steurios's new research.

"And I'd like to thank my teachers, who taught me everything they knew so that my brilliance could shine..."

No, that's not quite right. Too many "bright" metaphors.

Ah, you're back, Daeva.

• "And with the Core, as requested."

How can you do this to me? To your comrades in arms who are dying of poison?

I've lost two today already!

We have no time to waste. Bring me the Plaguebearer's Core!

• "Can't they chew leaves for now?"

Why must you insist on killing my prize specimens!

Hmmm...this is larger than I'd thought it would be. I wonder what sort of energy it holds.

Hmmm? Yes, yes. Thank you much. Off you go.

Steurios said Daevas were being poisoned by a huge Slime living in Beshmundir Temple, not the poisonous insects in Silentera Canyon.

You defeated the Plaguebearer and brought back its core so that Steurios could study it and develop a new antidote.
