(There's a small jewellery box on the ground. It's in fine condition, so it's unlikely to have been deliberately thrown away.)

(Someone must have has lost it. Perhaps the answer is inside.)

• "I wonder what's inside."

(You open the box and find a delicate pendant inside. You look closer at the design, and notice an engraving of a woman's face etched into the metal.)

(The pendant is clearly of value to someone. Maybe you should try to track down its owner.)

• Accept.
• Decline.

(Lodas is nearby. See if he knows anything.)

• "This must belong to someone...."

Find the owner of the pendant.

Ahhh...that box....

I noticed it...just yesterday. What is...in it?

• "A small engraved pendant."

Hmm....

The only Daeva...I've seen recently was...Justachys. And you, of course....

Speak to him. Perhaps he can help....

• "I will. Thank you, Lodas."

Where have I been? Where?? Novan hasn't seen it, nor has Heropres. Perhaps I should ask Telamone too.

Sorry, Daeva, but I don't have time to talk right now. I've lost something very important and I really have to find it.

Maybe Lakaias knows! Hey, LAK...

• "It wasn't this pendant, was it? Lodas sent me here."

Yes, yes it was! Oh thank Yustiel for Lodas!

This pendant belonged to a good friend of mine, you see. He gave it to me before he left, asking me to safeguard it until he returned, or give it to his son if he didn't. That was several months ago now....

Thank you, friend, and please thank Lodas for me. Now I can return to Sanctum, and carry out my duties...not as a Daeva, but as a friend.

You found a jewellery box abandoned near Lodas. He suggested it might belong to Justachys, a Guardian Sentinel.

So you took the pendant to Justachys. It soon emerged that the pendant was entrusted to him by a good friend who had been killed, and Justachys now had to take it to his friend's son. He had lost the box walking through the desert.
