Do you know how easily weapons break?

I can assure you, I do, since I am in charge of replacing them. These are extraordinary weapons, too, and, as such, they require extraordinary materials to make them.

Of course, it requires extraordinary effort to gather those materials...

• "What manner of material is it?"

Greater Aether Gem – a material that will withstand even the strongest blows of Daevas.

But it is difficult to get, of course. It can be found only in Shining Vortex, and only rarely.

It would be absurd, of course, to ask our Legionaries to stop their fighting and gather Greater Aether Gems.

But you, Daeva, are a Daeva of no particular responsibilities. Would you help?

• "Accept."
• "Decline."

It will be a dull task. Simply extract essence from a Shining Vortex, and hope that you find some Aether Gems.

If fortune favours us, you should be able to find Greater Aether Gems, though they aren’t common.

But in order to prepare for upcoming battles, we need them.

I will be most grateful for any you find.

• "I shall bring you all I find."

In order to make weapons, Cymaon needs the Greater Aether Gems you collected.

Daeva, you have returned.

More and more Legionaries clamour for repairs and replacements.

Did you bring the Greater Aether Gems as I requested?

• "Here is what I have."

Alas, it is not enough!

Though I am loath to send you into the field again, I must ask you once more.

I have no other choice – we need those gems!

Please, go and gather Greater Aether Gems.

• "I will return with more."

Yes, this is a fine haul! I apologise for asking such a long and dull favour of you, but it is most important that our Legionaries remain well-armed.

I shall begin forging these into new weapons right away. When you see the gleam on the Legionaries' swords, you may reflect upon your efforts with pride.

Cymaon said that the weapons used in the Abyss are all specially manufactured. He said that the weapons need to be treated with Greater Aether Gems in order to endure violent battles.

He wanted to make the weapons by himself, but needed Greater Aether Gems.

You extracted Greater Aether Gems from the Shining Vortexes and brought them to him.
