Daeva...please...you must listen.

An eternity of pain stretches deep...into my past. Ever since...that day.

• "The Cataclysm?"

Yes. I changed. I grew into this...colossus...started to destroy the other creatures all around me. I swept through the forest, claiming...everything as my own....

But, in that same time, as I grew into this...thing.... Something left me. The spirit of...nature herself. I was once as she intended, but now I...am so empty. A husk...of what was intended.

• "Many others have suffered, Taloc."

Yes, and many others...have perished. Others have been helped, but not I....

My soul has become poisoned, and...has created scars in my own body. As you wander through my hollow...you will see patches of contaminated Taloc's Soil.

I need them...taken away, just as dead flesh is removed to stop the spread...of infection. Help me...Daeva....

• Accept.
• Decline.

Thank you...thank you so...much....

Search through all the blighted Taloc's Soil patches you find. They will be...plentiful. Every day, I feel them burning through me...spreading their sickness closer...closer to my roots....

Search through the patches, and bring back all the Taloc Leaf samples you can find.

• "I'll do all I can."

Taloc is in pain from the poison spreading through his trunk. Find the contaminated Taloc's Soil, remove them for the great Elim and collect his leaves.

Ah...it is you....

Did you complete your task? Have you...brought me the Taloc Leaf samples?

• "I think so. Here."

No, Daeva. This isn't that which I...spoke of....

Seek the leaves out. Uproot them from the festering holes...they burn into my flesh. Please....

• "I'll look again."

Yes...this is...it!

The burning will soon pass, as least in the passages that you...kindly cleansed.

You have my...gratitude....

Taloc was suffering from the slow poisoning he had suffered following the Cataclysm. You found patches of poisoned soil within his hollow, and removed them for him. You also collected his leaves and returned them to him.
