Oh, this is bad, nyerk! This is really bad. Why do all things bad happen to Yogorunerk?

• "What's the matter?"

Sororunerk has gone. Didn't trust him, knew he was no good.

Sent him to scout Dirmoi Pass, and now he's gone to sell Meniherk secrets to Black Cloud, nyerk.

• "What makes you so sure?"

Whiskers twitching, bristling. Whiskers never lie.

If Black Cloud comes, Black Cloud steal all valuables in ruins. Sanctum won't be happy, no.

Daeva find Sororunerk? Stop him before he finds Black Cloud.

• Accept.
• Decline.

Look in Dirmoi Pass. Pick up his trail.

Hurry fast, Daeva--before he gets far.

• "I'll catch the furry ruffian."

Sororunerk, a member of the Meniherk excavation union, has defected to the Black Cloud. Go to Dirmoi Pass and pick up his trail.

(This must be the Shugo you're looking for. He seems to have been dead for a while.)

• "I'd better search him."

(You find a crumpled piece of paper that says "Excavation Site Inspection Chart.")

(You'd better take it to Yugorunerk.)

• "Return to the Aether, Shugo."

Sororunerk got away?

• "Not very far."

Maybe Sororunerk didn't go to Black Cloud after all, then.

Or maybe he planned on doing it but died first.

Tough to say.

Yogorunerk said that Sororunerk, his subordinate, had apparently defected to the Black Cloud.

You went to the Dirmoi Pass to pick up his trail, but found him dead under a rockfall.

When you told Yogorunerk, he thought that maybe he didn't run away after all.
