I've been in a lot of fortress battles and, let me tell you, protecting Vorgaltem Citadel is different from anything you've ever done before.

No matter how the war is going, nothing's ever working in our favour.

• "Really?"

We make up the tiniest little spear point of Elysea in Gelkmaros. If we lose Vorgaltem Citadel, there is no wedge, no Elyos presence, nothing. We lose the citadel, and we've lost Gelkmaros for good.

So we need to use every trick to keep our position. No matter how dirty. Today you get your education in Balaur weakening.

• Accept.
• Decline.

In Viscum Swamp, strangely mutated Mudthorns make stuff that repels some of the creatures who follow the Balaur. Fatter, more aggressive Mudthorns, you've never seen.

We call 'em Deformed Mudthorns, and I need you to go extract their Nasty Sap.

• "Faith and arms!"

As Stains asked, get Nasty Sap to help protect Vorgaltem Citadel.

How much of the Nasty Sap have you collected so far?

It's a dirty job, and we're just the Elyos to do it, hey?

• "I've collected more than you ever could."

You haven't even seen a Deformed Mudthorn yet, have you? Did you bother to go out to the Viscum Swamp?

I'm waiting on you, Daeva. It's not like we have enough people to assign tasks redundantly.

• "I'm going. I'm going. I'm going."

Those Mudthorns didn't stand a chance!

Good work, and here's a little something for your efforts.

Stanis said that Nasty Sap would help protect the Vorgaltem Citadel.

When you got rid of the Deformed Mudthorns in the Viscum Swamp and brought their sap, he gave you a reward.
