Familiar face! Yes yes. Shugo always knows faces, and has seen this one before. But where? When? Hmm.

Nyerk! No time for thinking! Maybe Daeva is interested in making Kinah?

• "Maybe Shugo wants to make Kinah?"

Akakak! Shugo always want to make Kinah, true, but Shugo never rip Daeva off! Look at me, so small and scrawny! Would make an excellent coat, if Daeva wanted it, yes? But Daeva doesn't want it. No no.

Daeva listen. I buy Transparent Wriggot powder from old man Vigbir, then sell it for profit in the city. Make good Kinah as middleshugo, but now supplies drying up because road...road is dangerous!

Need Daeva's help, see? Need big powerful Daeva to clear road and open up supply route again!

• Accept.
• Decline.

Knew it! Smart Daeva!

The monsters in the way are Ice Fang Kirrins and Amethyst Drakes. Kill lots of both, then see Vigbir for reward!

Go, Daeva! Shoo! Work to do won't be done by standing!

• "Make sure my reward is ready!"

Eliminate the Kirrins and Drakes so Huarinrinerk can trade in peace.

Are you the one causing all that ruckus?

That Huarinrinerk has a nerve, I tell you. Told her those creatures were just being uppity with mating season, but she wasn't having any of it. Wanted the path clear, and wanted her supplies.

I suppose you've done as she asked?

• "I have."

Well, can't say I object to the money, but I wouldn't have minded waiting a week or so.

Still, a deal's a deal. I believe I owe you this.

Huarinrinerk told you she made plenty of Kinah buying Transparent Wriggot powder from old man Vigbir, and selling it for profit in the city.

However, Kirrins and Drakes had moved into the area, blocking the trade paths and cutting the Shugo's supplies.

You wiped out the Kirrins and Drakes, then saw Vigbir, who paid you for the job.
