It's hard to feel safe in Beluslan these days, between a collapsing fortress, people getting struck by falling fragments....And there's no end of dangerous creatures around here, either.

Of course, we're also shorthanded. The Archons we do have are too busy to tend to culling the local beasties.

• "Sounds like a problem, all right."

Luckily we’ve been allotted some Protectorate Coins to reward other Daevas who can take on jobs the Archons can’t be spared for.

Your task is to eliminate the Plains Vespines and Black Branch Gnarls.

The Vespines don’t look all that dangerous, but beware of the powder that drops from their wings. If you get it in your eyes, you could go blind.

And get your Black Branch Gnarls and bushes mixed up, and you can say goodbye to your eyes and ears.

Will you accept this mission?

• Accept.
• Decline.

There are a lot of Plains Vespines right outside the fortress. They’re a bloody nuisance to the residents.

And Black Branch Gnarls are all over the Black Plains, thick as pudding.

So go out and kill those pests for us.

I’ll be waving a Protectorate Coin for you when you return, Daeva.

• "The task is mine, Govanon."

Vespines and Gnarls around the fortress threaten the residents. Get rid of the Plains Vespines in front of the Beluslan Fortress and the Black Branch Gnarls in the Black Plains.

Ah, you're back, Daeva. How did it go with the Plains Vespines and Black Branch Gnarls?

Tell me the whole story.

• "Well, it took a while...."

You have been a great help to the inhabitants.

Now they can go into the plains near the fortress without being troubled, Daeva.

Here’s the Protectorate Coin I promised.

Govanon said local creatures threatened the Fortress Inhabitants, but he was giving the job to Daevas because he was short of Archons.

You got rid of the Plains Vespines and Black Branch Gnarls, and received a Protectorate Coin as a reward.
