Story
The offer
Haven’t you heard that things in Balaurea are unsettled?
The balance of power in Balaurea has shifted, and Pandaemonium has fallen into chaos. Battles among the Balaur are common, but it’s impossible to predict what effects this will have on Asmodae.
The one who intervened in this chaos is said to have been Marchutan. Marchutan claimed we could largely contain this chaos.
- Siel’s relics?
Marchutan’s Agent appears to have marched there with an army, as Marchutan said. It’s complicated, though, because there are so many of them.
Since Lord Vidar sent you here, I assume Lord Marchutan awaits you. He will surely have foreseen that you would come to his aid.
The speech was too long. Tigrina is already waiting. Go to the Airship Dock and board the airship to Gelkmaros.
May fate smile upon you.
- You end the conversation.
Journal
Note: Support has been requested in Gelkmaros. Take the airship at the Airship Dock to Gelkmaros and meet Marchutan’s Agent Richelle.
Along the way
So you want me to take you to Gelkmaros?
(Studies you closely) Hmm, do you know what kind of place Gelkmaros is?
It’s not like here in Asmodae. And it’s not the same as Reshanta either.
Since you want to go there, I have a piece of advice for you: Be careful.
They say if the Balaur discover you, you'll no longer be right in the head.
- You keep listening.
But the airship isn’t ready for departure yet. You’ve come too early. We still need to carry out repairs after our last flight to Gelkmaros. The Balaur weren’t happy to see us.
I’m also busy repairing the battleship… What am I doing…?
(looking at you) Tell me, Daeva, could you perhaps do something for me instead of just standing around?
You just need to let Nekai, Grer and Moorinerk know something.
Please tell them this: ‘I’ll bring the goods with me next time.’
- You end the conversation.
What'll it be?
There are plenty of fine goods from Asmodae here.
Like anything here? Have a look around. My prices are reasonable. But I don’t offer credit. Cash only.
- Tigrina sent me.
On the next ship? About time. My goods are urgently needed in Gelkmaros. Nothing grows there naturally and the troops demand Asmodian food supplies.
Many Archons drop by here before they set out, to take a few private reserves. They’re my best customers.
Did I mention how fresh my goods are? Feel them if you don’t believe me...
- You end the conversation.
Is that what Tigrina said?
If that’s so, I suppose I have no choice but to stock up.
I wouldn’t like my stock to be found suddenly empty.
- You ask what this is all about.
Oh, nothing you’d be interested in. Just a few things an Archon left behind when he was sent to Gelkmaros. He was in such a hurry that he left almost everything behind, even most of his clothes.
He said he’d pick them up again as soon as possible, but he’s apparently too busy. So he’s paying Tigrina to have them sent.
He said he’d call by as soon as he has time, but apparently he’s very busy.
Instead, they asked for the goods to be sent to Tigrina’s side, but Tigrina said she wouldn’t accept them until everything is secured.
- You end the conversation.
The next airship, akakak? Are you sure? Akakakak!
But I haven’t prepared anything yet. Tigrina’s instructions are rather complicated. She doesn’t do things like other merchants. She doesn’t understand it.
I hope I can prepare everything for her, akakakakak.
- You nod.
It’s not for Gelkmaros. It’s for the airship, akakak.
Have you ever heard of a rapid shock absorber? It’s a special device for merchant airships. It absorbs shocks. Very quickly, akakakakak.
Tigrina wants one of those. Hard to get. And a box of extra-strong anti-nausea pills. Akakakakak! Hard to manufacture! Not for trade with non-merchants. Not without permission. akakak! But what am I to do, akakak? I can’t allow the battleship to be destroyed. That’s not good for business. I want to help. I must help. Bend the rules, maybe break them.
Maybe do business with others. Simpler trades. Perhaps Elyos. Or Bal... people who live in Balaurea. Not with the Balaur, of course.
Never. akakakakak! I must go now.
- You end the conversation.
Welcome.
You’re back, Daeva. Did you deliver the message? Unfortunately I can’t verify that now, so I’ll take your word for it. But if you only made it this far and had a few drinks there, I’ll find out. Count on it...
Then this barrier should now be activated.
Or would you like to reconsider your decision to travel to Gelkmaros, Daeva?
- You nod.
Are you sure?
I wonder how long you'll last.
When you return from Gelkmaros, you cannot simply use this Aetheric Field again.
Here we go! Are you ready?
- You board the ship.
Daeva? Where have you been? In Gelkmaros they said you never arrived. But you were on board! What happened? Are you...?
Oh, I see. You got scared, right? Sneaked off the airship secretly, right? I bet no one noticed. Well, almost no one...
But I’m on my way to Gelkmaros right now, if you’d like to come along this time. And don’t forget this time to report to Marchutan’s Agent Richelle when we’re there.
- You board the ship.
I've been following your deeds for a while.
Finally we meet, here in the land of fate.
I'm Richelle, Marchutan's agent.
- You bow down in awe.
Reward
There are many tasks waiting for you in here.
You'll also be forced to make some important decisions.
That's why I beg you to never forget Aion's will.
May the blessing of darkness lead you on fate's path.
Completion
I visited High Priestess Agehia. She said Balaurea was in upheaval and asked that we continue to help.
You wanted to board the battleship to Gelkmaros, but crew member Tigrina said the departure preparations weren’t finished and sent you off to run errands.
After that the battleship was finally able to depart. Upon your arrival in Gelkmaros you met Richelle, an agent of Marchutan, and heard her advice about your future.
