I mustn't be swayed by personal emotions on the field, but...I had a...friend...who was killed...vanished, actually, just a little while ago.

I see his face whenever I close my eyes, his expression in the final instant, this regretful smile on his face as he vanished into Aether. He just blew away like stardust through my hands, gone forever. That memory is all the Balaur left of him.

I suppose it's good that I have responsibilities here. If I leave, the Legion will be weakened. Someone else might...

• "Baucis, easy..."

ACCURSED BALAUR!

I want to cut them all down! I want to grow claws, like the Asmodians so I can tear them up with my bare HANDS! I want to grow Balaur fangs and DEVOUR them, I want...

VENGEANCE! ...bloody, bloody revenge....

• Accept.
• Decline.

You'd do this? I... Ariel's grace, there aren't words...

He was fighting some 38th Draconute Trooper, and 38th Draconute Guards when the battle drove us apart. I saw a 38th Draconute Grenadier spit on him after he fell.

What is it the Asmodians say? "Blood for blood"? That's what I want. Blood for blood.

• "Blood it will be."

Carry out Baucis’ request to avenge his vanished friend by annihilating the infantrymen, troopers, and sentinels of the Ranx Draconute Legion.

Ah, isn't that Daeva? What happened, the thing I asked of you?

Have you avenged my friend?

• "Blood for blood, as I said."

Aah, thank you so much. It lightens my heart, Daeva. And somewhere in the flow of Aether, your name rings now as well, I'm sure.

Ariel's grace be eternally upon you, Daeva.

Baucis was heartsick over the loss of a dear friend, vanished by the Balaur.

You exterminated the soldiers of Ranx Draconute Legion to avenge his friend, bringing justice for the dead man and peace for the living one.
