Let me tell you about the reward first! Laestrygos' Spellbook was useful, yes?

Of course! All Laestrygos's goods are useful. But you know whose are even better? Anusis! And when you successfully complete this mission, I'll ask Anusis to imbue your spellbook with a more powerful essence. He'll do it for me. We were close once.

Ready for action? For Veille? For Elysea? For improved spellcasting?

• Accept.
• Decline.

The battles in the Vorgaltem Citadel and the Crimson Temple grow fiercer, and our situation will only get worse if we don't take these places back now.

Finish the mission successfully, Daeva. We will talk more about the advanced version of Laestrygos' Spellbook when you return.

Lady Ariel's luck be with you.

• "Hopefully BETTER than Ariel's luck, I'd say."

If you overthrow the status quo at the enemy fortresses, Laestrygos will give you the power to enhance your spellbook.

Good, good. You've arrived. Kaisinel's Agent Veille recommended you to me. She said your help enabled her to turn back the darkness.

So she wants me to give you an important mission, Daeva.

If I say, "Vorgaltem Citadel" and "Crimson Temple," you can guess the mission, yes?

• "Can't you just tell me?"

With the Vorgaltem Citadel and the Crimson Temple back in our possession, perhaps there will be peace in our time.

• "How about this? The Asmo trogs have been put down."

Effective Daeva! Agent Veille told me you would do well.

Now, where is the spellbook I gave you? If you don't have Laestrygos's Spellbook, then I cannot improve it for you. You have fought against the intruders for nothing.

• "Your thanks is all the reward I need."

What? You don't have the spellbook I gave you?

How can you complete your mission and get your reward if the spellbook is missing?

• "I'm sorry. How do I get this spellbook?"

Here it is, your great reward. A Piece of Aegis.

Have you heard of it?

If you put the energy from a Piece of Aegis into a spellbook, it will be transformed. For your work at Vorgaltem and Crimson, please take this gift.

Laestrygos promised he would give you amazing power for your Laestrygos' Spellbook if you killed the Guardian Generals at the Vorgaltem Citadel and the Crimson Temple.

You did as requested, and he gave you a Piece of Aegis.
