Shugo was very scared of the creature that was with the girl.

• You ask if he knows anything else about this region.

Shugo doesn’t know much about this area, ak.

When Shugo woke up, Shugo found himself here. Shugo can’t remember anything else. All Shugo knows is that Shugo is a Shugo.

• You ask if he knows anything else about the girl.

You found Ephegeon.

She was saying all sorts of confusing things... That everything here isn’t real, ak.

Behind the hill is a dilapidated building, Daeva should go there, akakak.

• You say thanks.

You’re still alive...!

I assumed you didn’t make it when you didn’t come back from your exploration tour.

• You report that you found the search object.

Search object... You mean test subject No. 707?

• You say she needs to be caught.

Such a young girl... No, nothing...

We’re all exhausted and many are wounded.

• You report that you met a strange Shugo.

There’s a Shugo here in the village, too.

Would you like to go and talk to him?

Let’s gather information from the local people first.

• You nod.

Have you heard the news yet? Our village has brought forth a new Daeva.

Great, isn’t it? But what was that young girl’s name again? I don’t remember...

• You end the conversation.

Oh, you mean this Daeva? Of course I remember him. He was the first Daeva from our village, that’s why the expectations placed on him were so great...

But he disappeared before he could even take on an assignment, what bad luck...

• You ask what the story is with the missing Daeva.

What? Missing Daeva? I never said that.

The Daeva I’m talking about is so successful that he’s already on a fast-track to becoming a Brigade General. Argh, my head hurts...

• You end the conversation.

Where is my beloved granddaughter? She wanted to become a Daeva and protect me and our village...

Where has she gone? Come back safe and sound.

I’m proud of you, even if you’re not a Daeva and can’t protect me...

• You end the conversation.

So that girl was a new Daeva.

• “Is that a problem?"

No, it’s not a problem... She’s our successor, so to speak.

• You ask what that means.

Either way... As there are so many wounded, we’ll both have to take over the task as we’re uninjured.

I saw a Wayfinder on the way here... Please go and take a look.

• You say you’ve understood.

(Even the Wayfinder is incomprehensible.)

• You finish investigating.

This place seems a bit off.

We should split up and take a closer look at the area.

• You nod.

Take this equipment before you start.

I’ve repaired it, so it shouldn’t cause any problems.

Ephegeon doesn’t seem to be behaving normally. Everyone is talking nonsense.
