Oh, Daeva.

I know you’ve only just arrived, but could I ask you to undertake a brief task?

• You nod.

Hmm, really impressive.

Actually, this assignment should have been handed to Carabel or Ethys (he shakes his head), but...

In any case, the task is to support the defence base in Gelkmaros.

Go and speak briefly with Phina.

• You end the conversation.

Objective: Carry out Vetus’ plan and defend the base in Gelkmaros.

There are Reian settlements in Gelkmaros.

After the Cataclysm they remained in Balaurea and settled there; as a result they differ greatly in appearance from us, yet they are nonetheless our kin.

They are the ones who likewise fought unyieldingly to the end in Tiamat’s tower.

• You say that Vetus sent you.

There’s also a Reian survivor at this defence base.

He’s called Belik, he said he came to form a united front between the Asmodians and the Reians.

Hear their story. If an agreement seems possible, please help bring about reconciliation and promote unity.

• You end the conversation.

I have come here to strengthen relations between Asmodae and the Reian tribe.

Although they look different now, before the Cataclysm they certainly had the same form as we and our companions.

The traces of long ages have estranged us, yet we swear to stand on the same side as you.

• Let us give each other the sign of the oath, and then nothing will...

Thank you for your words.

The fact is... there’s something I’d like to ask you.

My Reian friend, who was stationed with me at the Gelkmaros Defence Base, Stephano, disappeared without a trace during a mission; no body was found.

Could you perhaps find him or let me know if you learn anything?

• You end the conversation.

Where has the pride of the Reians gone?

Even if my body fell apart, my spirit will never submit...

• ‘Stephano?’

Someone who knows my name... who are you?

Until recently I seemed to have been fighting against the Balaur... or perhaps with the traitors who were devoured by the Balaur...

Everything is so confusing.

Am I now dead?

• You keep listening.

So I am now dead. But it pains me to have lost body and memories and yet remain as a spirit, unable to return to the flow of the aether...

The only thing I remember is... my sword.

My friend... is he dead...?

If only those Reian traitors who were devoured by the Balaur, and the souls of the Reians consumed with them, could return my stolen sword to me, then I could finally rest in peace.

• You end the conversation.

For a warrior, their weapon is as important as life itself.

I may be dead and now a spirit, but...

• Hand over Stephano’s Sword.

That makes the plan a little clearer now...

I... fought the Naduka Legion and was caught in the turmoil of the Dragonbound and Reian traitors, which led to my annihilation.

As someone who spent his whole life on the battlefield, I have no regret about defending it to the end and perishing in the attempt...

If there was a single thing I still cared about, it was this sword.

• You keep listening.

This sword... it is the sword that my friend and tribal chieftain Belik gave me. I am truly grateful to you for finding this precious sword for me... Thank you.

May I ask one last favour of you?

Give Belik my regards.

Even as my soul fades, I will continue to sing with you.

• You end the conversation.

Ah, Asmodian.

Have you perhaps found Stephano?

• Tell me about Stephano.

So that's how it is.

Not even as a spirit did he come... what an unfeeling man...

Thank you for witnessing his end. My soul will also be glad to be reunited with him.

And Daeva, you who helped us, I will certainly remember your name.

• You end the conversation.

Did you meet the Reian Belik?

And how was it?

• Let me tell you what has happened so far.

That’s right. That’s a real shame.

Though we have long been separated and both appearance and culture have changed, feelings like these are the same for everyone.

Thank you for taking care of that. Good work.

Quartermaster Vetus said that a call for help had come from the Gelkmaros defence outpost and sent me there.

At the Gelkmaros base I was commissioned to... Phina to help the Reian Melig.

At Belik’s request I found the missing friend, Stephano; however he had become such a hero, and his condition and the exact circumstances were unclear.

When I returned the sword to Stephano, he showed his gratitude and asked me to send his greetings to Belik.

I reported to Belik and to Phina, the Asmodian legionnaire, and they thanked me for my efforts on behalf of the Reians.
